Hi Nelson,

According to that error, you are trying to invoke Modelsim Altera Edition which is required a license to simulate it. Refer to the link below to apply for license.

https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/programmable/us/en/pdfs/literature/manual/quartus_install.pdf (p21)

You can try to use the free version which is Altera Starter Edition and can download via this link below. Select the Quartus Prime version and type for your Modelsim.

Thanks,

Regards

Hello there, thanks for reply.

As i read, beyond ver 8.0 of Quartus II Web Edition no license is required. Is there any way to UN-invoke the Altera Model Sim?

Thank you.

Hi,

To simulate using VHF Universal, Modelsim compiler and simulator is needed. My suggestion is that, try to download free Modelsim Altera Starter Edition which is free version (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/downloads/software/modelsim-starter/121.html) , install it in your Quartus Prime path. After that update the path at Tool -> Option -> EDA option tool. Select the path where you installed the Modelsim and try to simulate your design.

Thanks,

Regards
