Quartus II standard 18.1 with Windows 10 Platform designer generation error

Hello,

I am trying to migrate a Quartus II project from Quartus 13.0 under Windows 7 to Quartus prime standard 18.1 under windows 10.

My original project contains a QSYS instance with DDR2 SDRAM Controller. When I compile the qsys file in Platform Designer, it generates the following error:

Error: s0: Error during execution of "{C:/intelfpga/18.1/quartus/../nios2eds/Nios II Command Shell.bat} make all 2>> stderr.txt": child process exited abnormally

.....

Error: s0: Le sous système Windows pour Linux n'a pas de distribution installées.

When doing the same under windows 7, it works fine.

Do you know how to solve it?

Hi ,

  1. Try to point the TEMP variable to the local machine, such as the C: drive. refer below link, Do restart your PC after changing user and system variable
  2. Check other Quartus variables like QSYS_ROOTDIR.
  3. Check with the latest version Quartus.
  4. Try by reinstalling the Quartus along the default path.
  5. If still facing problem Update/reinstall Windows and Quartus.
