Hi all, I installed Quartus Prime 20.1 LITE on Windows latest build, BUILD 18363.1256

But Nios2 Eclipse will not start, no GUI

I have tried instructions from these posts,

https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-Quartus-Prime-Software/Nios-2-Eclipse-Not-Opening/m-p/1218611#M...

https://community.intel.com/t5/Programmable-Devices/Why-Nios-II-cant-open/m-p/1235611#M78141

But, none of them worked.  Please help.  I can down grade to 18.1, but this is my last option

Thank you all,

Can you follow below to install again:

1. install WSL for windows

i. https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/programmable/us/en/pdfs/literature/hb/nios2/n2sw_nii5v2gen2.pd... (chapter 2.1)

Note: Windows 10 build version 16215.0 or higher is the recommended operating system version.

ii. After installation has successfully completed, launch Ubuntu 18.04.

iii. Install additional distro packages required for Nios II EDS using the following commands:

 a. sudo apt-get update

b. sudo apt install wsl

 c. sudo apt install dos2unix

 d. sudo apt install make

2. install nios2 eclipse folder

3.  After re-installation, can you download the patch from below KDB:

Thank u.  May I ask if future Quartus Prime release will NOT include Nios2 Eclipse stuff such that user needs to install Eclipse components manually
