I have a laptop with a 4K screen that I use in 3840x2160 resolution running Ubuntu Linux 20.10.
I installed Quartus Prime 20.1 Lite.
Quartus is usable in this mode but Modelsim is not.
I need to switch to 1920x1080 resolution to use Modelsim.
Is there a workaround to work in 4K?

Hi Bert,
The workaround is to switch resolution of your screen. For 4K, I can see some reference related to your issue as someone there can run on Ubuntu with 4K resolution. Refer to link below for details. If it still persist, I recommend you to stick to first option.

Thank you very much for this link. I could indeed modify the file .modelsim in my home directory where I made all fonts in "PrefDefault" size 26 instead of 12. Then Modelsim is manageable. Although the icons are still too small and the pop-up windows like File/Open are hardly readable and way too small. But it is workable.
