Hi,
I am new to Altera. I am planning to use Altera Device(Cyclone V) in one of my project. I recently downloaded Altera Prime lite 16.1 and installed it. Can I continue to use this Lite edition for my design with Cyclone V device without any problem? Will I be able to use the Altera IPs (like DDR3 Controller, Tri-speed ethernet, SDI II IP etc) with full functionality? Thanks in advance.Link Copied

The IP base suite is not included with the Lite edition, so as mentioned, you'll need to pay for a license for that IP. Standard edition includes this licensing.

The base ip suite is included in the quartus standard edition.
But the triple speed eth (and others ip) are not included in basic ip. Then you need to buy quartus standard and triple speed eth ip. If you buy a dev board (I bought the cyclone5gt dev board) altera send you 1 year license for quartus standard and base ip. Base ip license is time limited(1hour) in this case But triple speed eth and others are not included, I think. If are included, the ip are time limited.. Best regards, luca
