Quartus (Quartus Prime 21.1) Lite Edition crashes when starting and creating a new project in window

Hello to all the experts!

I am a person trying to learn FPGA.

I have installed Quartus Lite Edition on windows 11 environment.
When I start the software and try to browse to a folder from Create New Project, it gets stuck for a few seconds and then the software crashes.

How can I solve this problem?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Taisei,

Firstly I doubt that 21.1 Lite have adopted to Win 11 yet. You may check the readme.txt file in the installation path. Secondly, you should not set your path to default Quartus path when creating new project, change it to another path, this should be working.

Hi SyafieqS
Thanks for the reply!

I was remiss in not checking the system requirements...

It is true that windows 11 is not guaranteed to work on 21.1 Lite edition...

Thanks for letting me know!
Much appreciated!
