I’ve tried 14.1 and 14.0. Run as admin and not. Get a wait cursor for a moment then nothing. This is a VM I run on OS X 10.10 but I’ve been running EDA tools in it for years with no problems.
I assume its not a license issue since the instructions suggest it should at least give access to a tools item to set the license path. Sorry if this is a common problem, I searched these forums and google’d and found nothing. Thanks in advance,Link Copied

Yes, its the 64-bit version of Win7 Home Pro. Thanks for the suggestion. Looking through the event viewer I found this error:
Faulting application name: qreg.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x547ffd98 Faulting module name: MSVCR120.dll, version: 12.0.21005.1, time stamp: 0x524f83ff Exception code: 0xc000001d Fault offset: 0x0000000000095c01 Faulting process id: 0xe68 Faulting application start time: 0x01d035d2dad395dc Faulting application path: C:\altera\14.1\quartus\bin64\qreg.exe Faulting module path: C:\altera\14.1\quartus\bin64\MSVCR120.dll Report Id: 1977114c-a1c6-11e4-9d2e-005056eef8ae Although this looks like the failure, I still have not been able to glean a solution. Any ideas?- Mark as New
