Quartus and safety critical systems

Hi! 

 

Hopefully someone here will know the answer :D 

 

I´m wondering about the Quartus II and safety critical systems. I´ve found on your webpage that it´s qualified for DO-254. But what about the ISO 26262, IEC 61508 and ENV 5012x?  

 

Is it sufficient to prove that it applies for DO-254 and therefore should apply to the others?

I suggesting raising a mysupport case direct with altera as it seems to be a rather technical question. 

 

Altera themselves tend not to reply to threads on this forum.

There exists a IEC61508 qualification by German "TÜV" for defined versions of QuartusII and related FPGA
