same configuration file across all the migration devices

Can I use the same configuration file across all the migration devices? I have two additional migration devices selected in quartus project. All of them are the same device with difference speedgrades. A quick scan through the compilation report does not indicate that Quartus used speedfiles for all the devices during STA.

Hi, 

the migration option is afaik only that QII checks the pinout etc. being useable for all devices. The configuration file includes informations on the device and is thus device specific. You cannot use the configuration file compiled for one of the vertical migration devices to configure the devices of greater sizes... 

 

Or in few words: NO - you have to recompile for the used target when changing device whether using migration device option or not.
