support for Agilex SoC Dev Kit DK-SI-AGI027FB in Quartus Prime Pro

The Agilex 7 I-series Board DK-SI-AGI027FB is not listed as a supported board in Quartus Prime Pro 23.2 nor in the Platform Developer. Is there any plan to support this board? (It was expensive enough...) There is support for the RES version of the board, but it has a different FPGA part. Thank you.

Hello,

The board you are using now is not in the board compilation list, however you can still compile if you select the exact part number of the device you have on the board. Currently the board you are using is not available from the selection list, however, it will be available in future Quartus version. The only benefit if you have board selection in the compilation setting is the pin assign will be set as the board pin assignment.

Board selection:

Device Selection:

If you have selected the correct part number as above, your compilation will run correctly, and it can be uploaded into the device on your devkit without any problem.

For current situation, we can't do anything to enable the DK-SI-AGI027FB board in the board selection list, until it is available in future Quartus version.

regards,

Farabi

Hi

Good day,

Sorry for taking long time to reply. After discussion with my internal team, you may follow step like below :

1) Go to this link : https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/details/fpga/development-kits/agilex/si-agi027.html

2) Download DK-SI-AGI027FB( v23.1 or higher)

3) After finish download folder , may open golden top folder. The .qsf here will have all the FPGA pin connections as on dev kit. Use as required. Remove/comment rest of the pins. :

select below screenshot that i attached for your references:

Thank you

Thank you for the information.  I have already taken those steps, and although my code does compile and load, I wasn't sure everything was correct.

I wonder if you could repost the screenshots? I cannot view them. (I am using the Chrome browser, version 116.0.5845.141. Should I use another?)

Best wishes,

Bill W

Dear Elina,

Thank you! I can see the images and I received your e-mail with the same information.

The device I have is AGIB027R31B1E1VAA. This is not the same device as the one you list. This is why I initially posted my question. It appears that Quartus supports the DK-SI-AGI027FES board. I have the DK-SI-AGI027FB board.  Are all settings are the same on the two boards?

Best wishes,

Bill W.

Hi Bill W.,

Is this device that you have? would like to get your confirmation. It seem like it does have in Quartus Prime Pro Edition for AGIB027R31B1E1VAA.

Yes, that is right. I know that Quartus has that and that is what I am using. I am asking about the supported board(s). If you look at your other screenshot, the one with the "Board" tab open, you will see in the "device" column that a different FPGA part is listed. I believe that it is a different version of the board that I have.

Thank you. I am sorry for all the questions.
