8 bit isn't simple.

It seems to be common practice nowadays, to jump into a forum and ask for a complete package of working code, posting it at least twice in different subforums and hope for somebody to come do the other one's work. 

 What about using open core's 8bit CPU and porting it to Altera's platform?
