Hello,
Currently SGX is not found on Xeon processors. This suggests that this technology is not intended for servers and cloud computing, yet there is plenty of literature that provide examples of applications intended for the cloud using SGX [1,2,3,4]. My two questions are as follows:
1) Will SGX be incorporated into Xeon Processors?
2) If (1) is yes, then can SGX based applications run in a virtual machine on a SGX-enabled host?
Thanks,
Clinton

Hi Clinton,
SGX Support Desktop, Laptop and Server like workstation.
The road map for xeon-processor with SGX enabled will be released on 2018-2019.
I will ensure that the Z240 has one of these supported chipsets. SGX was enabled on Z240 with BIOS 1.07. This was the first Refresh BIOS in January 2016.”
