Build problem C1000 hello world win server 2008

Good day

Installed the latest version of the studio. (Build: issm_q2_2016_32_2016-07-26-0-g9e73b2ad5b)

Tried to build hello world and got next error. (Skip ROM flashing step if it's necessary)

make

APP_NAME = Hello_World

SOC = quark_se

TARGET = x86

APP_DIR = .

BUILD = debug

CSTD = c99

VERSION = '1.1.0'

make -C ./bsp/drivers SOC=quark_se TARGET=x86 BUILD=debug V=0 CSTD=c99

BUILD = debug

CSTD = c99

VERSION = '1.1.0'

make[1]: Entering directory `C:/Users/domelchx/microcont_ws/Hello_World/bsp/drivers'

The syntax of the command is incorrect.

"CC ../drivers/debug/quark_se/x86/obj/clk.o"

Assembler messages:

Fatal error: can't create ../drivers/debug/quark_se/x86/obj/clk.o: No such file or directory

make[1]: *** [../drivers/debug/quark_se/x86/obj/clk.o] Error 1

make[1]: Leaving directory `C:/Users/domelchx/microcont_ws/Hello_World/bsp/drivers'

make: *** [libqmsi] Error 2

16:18:58 Build Finished (took 702ms)

I use win server 2008.

C:\Users\domelchx\ws_tst_atp>wmic os get name
Name

Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise |C:\WINDOWS|\Device\Harddisk0\Partit
ion1

to fix build I quoted the Microsoft Windows Server string in the bsp/base.mk

- ifneq (,$(findstring Microsoft Windows Server, $(OSNAME)))

+ ifneq (,$(findstring "Microsoft Windows Server", $(OSNAME)))

Regards,

Dmitry.

Hi Dmitry,

Thank you for your question. For the ISSM, we support following OS.

  • Linux (64bit: Ubuntu* 14.04 LTS and Fedora* 21)
  • Windows* (64bit: Versions 7, 8.1, and 10)

Can you find a proper machine to install ISSM and try to build the project again ?

Hope this can help you.

Thanks,

Alice

I could use current machine(mststcxw25) with changed bsp/base.mk file.

I could use the same machine with older ISSM version without modifications of the bsp/base.mk file.

Looks like a bug.

Regards,

Dmitry.

Hi Dmitry,

Sorry I didn't catch your questoin. As you mentioned, the build issue is sloved by bsp/base.mk file modification ?

please provide more information.

Thanks,

Alice

Set the Microsoft Windows Server string in quotes help me. But I believe the problem is with usage of the md utility(for server version the mkdir utility is used).

- ifneq (,$(findstring Microsoft Windows Server, $(OSNAME)))

+ ifneq (,$(findstring "Microsoft Windows Server", $(OSNAME)))

Dmitry.

Hi Dmitry,

Did you manage to resolve the error: "CC ../drivers/debug/quark_se/x86/obj/clk.o"  ?

I am having the same issue.

Thanks

John

Hi John,

I resolved this error for my case windows server 2008 os. Looks the makefile's commands fail to create debug/quark_se/x86 directories.

You could try to create them by yourself but this is very annoying process.

Regards,

Dmitry.
