Debugging core products using Linux host

Jump to solution

I'm trying to get a system debugger up and running on a Linux host (and target) for a core product. The windows version I installed had a script to start xdb for Core products, however the linux version does not. Here's the dump of the windows versions:

start_xdb_Atom_products.bat
start_xdb_Core_products.bat
start_xdb_gdb_remote.bat
start_xdb_UEFI_agent.bat

However on linux only the following are available:
start_xdb_Atom_products.sh
start_xdb_gdb_remote.sh

Diffing {Atom,Core} shows me the only difference is that Atom uses tgttype="JTAG IA SMP" and Core uses tgttype="IA SMP"
Doing this in Linux produces the following: "Target "IA SMP" is unknown."

Is it possible to debug core products on a Linux host?

Hi Jonathan,

I believe Linux version should support Core as well. Why don't you get the latest one and reinstall?

If you are a Intel employee, please contact me (TCE) via email.

Thanks!
