Intel® System Studio for Microcontrollers -- Supporting Intel® Quark™ microcontroller D2000, C1000, and Curie™ (Windows* host) 2016.
New support for Intel® Quark™ SE microcontroller C1000, and Arduino*/Genuino* 101 board.
the above information is from the newest ISSM release email. I install it on window and i have a standard Arduino 101 board based Curie.
I try to update rom image for Arduino101 by ISSM, but failed.
As we know, Arduino 101 has no a extern JTAG IC on board by USB, so it's impossible to flash image by OpenOCD as D2000 instead of previous "dfu-util" tool?
I see a C1000 demo buard in ISSM user Guide web, is it a new development board based-Curie which is supported by ISSM?
Based on above, the ISSM only supports for D2000 Board and C1000 Board ,not for Arduino 101, is right?
Thank you.
best regards.

Hi Zezhi,
For Quark SE C1000, tt contain onboard sensor subsystem and pattern matching technology engine those key features. You can check online website for more detail. Here is C1000 overview: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/embedded/products/quark/mcu/se-soc/overview.html
The Quark SE SOC just launched but the board not yet. If you have further hardware question, please feel free to visit this forum: https://communities.intel.com/community/tech/microcontrollers
Hope these information can help you.
Thanks,
Alice

Hi,
Thanks for your question. Arduino 101 have Jtag inside. However, you need to connect jtag with jtag adapter instead of USB.
you can refer follow link for jtag configuration.
https://wiki.zephyrproject.org/view/Arduino_101#Flashing_using_JTAG_Adapter
Hope this can help you. please let me know if you have further question.
Thanks,
Alice

Thanks your reply.
Ok , I know it, we need a JTAG Adapter for Arduino 101 debug.
It means that if i have a JTAG(FlySwatter2), it can develop Curie on ISSM, this way must be ok.
To many markers, i think the D2000 is more better, simple and saving !
Can you tell me more information about "Intel® Quark™ SE C1000 Developer Board",.
the reference web is here:https://software.intel.com/en-us/node/674313
it seems that one USB is ok for debug, Maybe it's more convenient for me, is it on sales?
Thank you.
best regards.
