Don't source oneapi setvars

Hi.

I just started working with the Tiber developer cloud. I am connecting via VS Code and using the training nodes.

I noticed, that after opening the terminal, the PATH, CPATH, LIBRARY_PATH, LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variables are already filled with paths to oneapi tools and libraries. It seems like the /opt/intel/oneapi/setvars.sh is being sourced somewhere.

How do I make it such that it is not sourced?

I would like to setup the environment myself, try different versions, test my compilation trajectory when intel tools are not found, etc., so I would like my environment clean after login. But also don't want to completely clear the env vars, just don't initialize anything intel.

I looked in .bashrc and some similar files in /etc, but could not find how the intel environment gets there.

Is it possible, or is it hard-baked in some files I don't have privileges to access?

Thanks,

Jakub

Hi Jakub_H,

We apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, the Intel® Tiber™ Developer Cloud instances use a pre-built Golden image with fixed environment variables. As a result, we cannot modify the environment setup or use a different image, and therefore, we are unable to provide an unconfigured environment as requested.

Regards,

Thivagar

Hi Jakub_H,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Please specify which Developer Cloud product you are encountering issues with. Is it Intel® Developer Cloud, Intel® Developer Cloud for the Edge, or Intel® Tiber™ Developer Cloud for oneAPI?

Regards,

Thivagar
