I am experiencing issues with being heard during calls in the program.

Here is a breakdown of the situation to help identify the cause more easily:

Microphone Issue:

  1. When making calls through Unison, I can communicate normally using my Windows device.
  2. However, when I receive a call, the other party cannot hear me, although I can hear them clearly. The audio settings remain the same as in point 1.

Hi Kitcendo,

Thank you for posting in the community, to further assist you on this please answer the following questions for me:

  1. Do you see any error message when an inbound call is happening?
  2. Are you using a bluetooth/wireless headset?
  3. Can you tell me what mobile phone you are using? Also, please include the OS version
  4. Are you using a laptop or desktop? If laptop can you tell me the exact model of your laptop?

Also, to better understand your entire system information, please use the System Support Utility (SSU). This will generate a text file that compiles all your system information. You can follow this link for instructions and send the text file here. How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows

  1. Do you see any error message when an inbound call is happening?
    - No Error, The Popup is displayed during the call, and the call function seems to work normally, but the other party cannot hear my voice through the microphone.

  2. Are you using a bluetooth/wireless headset?
    - I have a wireless headset, but the default input device set in Windows 11 is a single microphone—Hyper-X—connected via USB.

  3. Can you tell me what mobile phone you are using? Also, please include the OS version
    - My device is a Xiaomi Mi 11 running Android 14, the latest version.

  4. Are you using a laptop or desktop? If laptop can you tell me the exact model of your laptop?
    - I am using a PC,

**I have tested communication through other online platforms such as Telegram, Discord, and Skype.
All these programs use the default microphone set in Windows 11, which is the Hyper-X microphone.

The key points that are useful for analysis are as follows:

    1. When I initiate a call through Unison, everything works fine. The sound is output through the speakers set as the Windows default, and the microphone functions according to the Windows settings.

    2. However, when I receive a call through Unison, I can hear the other party normally through the devices set in Windows, but my voice cannot be transmitted to them, regardless of which default input device I select in the Windows settings.

Hi Kitcendo,

Do you have a wired Headset on you? Can you try unplugging your dedicated microphone and bluetooth headset, then use the wired headset you have. Try testing it and let me know if the issue will occur. Also, can you confirm if you have done this article: How to Setup Call Feature on the Intel® Unison™ App

I followed all of your recommendations, but it didn’t work.

I can hear the other person, but they can’t hear me—even though I only have one input device.

Hi Kitcendo,

Have you tried reinstalling the Intel Unison on your PC and phone? Also, can you tell me if you Wifi card on your PC? If yes, can you tell me the model of your Wifi card and the driver you are currently using?

Hi Kitcendo,

I have noticed that there is another thread created regarding with the audio feature of call. As such allow me to provide you some information to our investigation. The call feature is detected through the Windows OS built-in default audio settings and does not support Bluetooth headset, speakers, or microphones. As such can you try using a wired headset with microphone on it or a wired earphone.
