USB Headset

I utilize a High-end Shure Microphone / headset combination connected through USB. When placing and receiving calls, I can hear through the headphones, but get the "No active input sound device detected. Please connect and activate an input sound device such as a microphone." error. I have verified that Microphone is NOT working. It is my default Microphone. Any ideas?

Open Device Manager and look for any yellow exclamation marks next to your Shure microphone or any related devices. This could indicate a driver problem. If possible, try connecting your Shure microphone/headset to another computer to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is with the microphone itself or the computer setup. In Windows, check the privacy settings related to microphone access. Sometimes, applications may be denied access to the microphone, causing similar issues.
