MaintenanceServiceLog.txt 75 GB

Our enterprise server failed a Windows update due to insufficient disk space. MaintenanceServiceLog.txt was the culprit, sitting at 75 GB. It's just this over and over again:

10/7/2021 2:34:32 PM Error - [UpdateDeviceOuMaintenance] EXCEPTION: Exception of type 'Intel.Unite.Server.Model.ApiException' was thrown. - Exception of type 'Intel.Unite.Server.Model.ApiException' was thrown.

Pretty sure it's something to do with Active Directory. The install guide says it's optional, but I don't see a way to turn the integration off. Our client/hub machines are Intune-only, so they'll never be associated to an OU. Anyone know how to turn off the AD integration, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Thanks!

Hello Nick-at-Work,

Thank you for contacting Intel Customer Support.

We understand that your enterprise server failed a Windows update due to insufficient disk space. There is MaintenanceServiceLog.txt at 75 GB.

I will be more than glad to help you today.

This is issue relates to a huge amount size of the Transaction log file, this issue can be resolved through the database.

Target files are identified as IntelUniteServerLog and IntelUniteTransactionLog files storaged at C:\Users\IntelUniteWebApiPool\AppData\Local\Temp

This requires a DB admin which can manually or through sql clean que unite_server_log file.

Command to use in SQL Server is: DBCC SHRINKFILE (unite_server_log, 1)

Manually they can make a backup and then delete the unite_server_log file, this is the default location C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL13.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA\unite_server_log.ldf,

The user may require checking if the location is different on their DB Server.

Finally, make sure you clean up the server logs periodically.

In case you need more assistance, please contact us back.

Best regards,
