Is it possible... to install the Enterprise server on the same vPro NUC system running the Hub software? (Windows 10 has IIS v10)
Also, can you use MySQL instead of MS SQL?
Cheers, rich.

Hi Ricxp56, it is not recommended that you install the hub on the same enterprise server machine.
MS SQL is a requirement of the application.

Hi Dany,
We have a number prototypes for a product using the Intel Broadwell Corei5 5300u.
The NUC has a custom PCIe riser and dual HDMI capture card for wired inputs, all in a 1u form factor.
For a meeting room/boardroom use case, the Enterprise server would be local to the hub app.
I appreciate your recommendation, however, is it at all possible (although not recommended) to install both Enterprise Server and Hub app on the same NUC?
Many real world use cases have a separate/private network for meeting rooms with no access to a separate Server system, not to mention the setup complexity required for a distribution product.
Do you recommend a freeware SQL database framework that works with the Enterprise server to keep costs down?
Cheers,

Answers to your questions below.
As the performance of the hub can be comprised it is not recommended that a Hub is installed on the same machine as the Unite server, the main requirement difference for the server is it requires to be installed on a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 or greater version as for the Hub it does require Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10 on the highest patch level. The performance of the hub can be compromised if it is installed along with server and vice versa.
There is also a standalone version that could benefit your described scenario which will not require a server although it won't be manageable through a database-server setup.
Unite is only compatible with MS SQL at the moment.

The Intel Unite app is available from our OEM partners, or from an Intel Technology Partner (ITP). Customers are encouraged to work with an ITP when implementing the Intel Unite solution in their environment. For customers who are not working with an OEM or ITP, we can provide access to the software. If this applies to you, please provide your contact information via private message and we can provide more information.
Please contact your Intel ITP, you can find their info at:

Is it possible to get a non-OEM version of Unite hub? I have hardware/software that is required but something in the OEM BIOS won't allow the Hub to run. (It costs an additional $400 to buy the exact same hardware with Unite) I keep getting the runaround and no support from either Intel or the OEM vendor as they both keep pointing fingers. At this point it appears that the Unite Hub costs $400 for the vendor to update the SKU in the BIOS.
