I'm trying to use the Thunderbolt port with a professional audio interface and it has many dropout problems even at high latency. I'm only trying to stream single stereo stream at 44.1khz 24 bit. When the WiFi or LAN is being used it drops out frequently. I need to disable all the WiFi port, Intel Speed Shift, Intel Turbo Boost, in the bios and disable the LAN in the device manager. The USB works far better which seems very strange for such a small load. Also a separate issue the WiFi drops out and then won't connect when I plug an external hard drive into the left USB port or have a 4 port hub connected.
Is there a specific fix or problem with this?
Are you up-to-date on the drivers, especially the thunderbolt driver?
