Hi guys, my friend purchases a PC online and the seller said that the CPU (Intel Xeon Processors E52676 V3) can function as good as Inter Core Processors i9. So my question here is that even possible?
I called the Intel customer service and the guy said that Intel Xeon Processors E52676 V3 were produced in the third quarter of 2014 (10 years ago) while stopped selling it from the end of December in 2021. Moreover, he also said that the first generation of Inter Core Processors i9 were produced in the second quater of 2018.
So as far as I could know, the digital products which was produced in 2014 cannot match the functionality of its counterpart in 2018. I think there is a huge gap.
Please let me know if me wrong or right? Thank a lot!

Hi Eric_Zhou0826,
Greetings!
We see that the Intel Xeon Processors E52676 V3 is a Tray Processor and is a part of an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) system. Tray processors are sold to high volume manufacturers, such as Acer, ASUS , Dell, Hewlett-Packard or Lenovo. They buy processors in bulk, incorporate them into PCs (laptops, desktops, All-in-Ones). Warranty replacements and technical support for tray processors are provided directly by these providers. We refer to these processors as tray or OEM processors. Intel doesn't provide direct warranty support. Contact your OEM or reseller for warranty support.
Please refer to the Intel article given below which supports the statement given above.
