Does VROC/VMD configuration retain after replacing battery on the motherboard?

Does anyone know where VROC/VMD configuration set in BIOS setting GUI are store?

Is the information retained once after removing battery on the motherboard for replacement?

How configuration is saved is actually dependent upon the motherboard design and its BIOS implementation, but, in general, BIOS store their configuration in a (non-volatile) flash component. Gone are the days where the (battery-backed) CMOS is used for BIOS Configuration storage. Bottom line, the BIOS Configuration will survive CMOS battery replacement.

Now, you might ask: What is the CMOS memory (still) used for? When the BIOS detects that the CMOS memory contents have been lost (i.e. battery failed), it uses this fact to indicate that the system should POST with a default set of configuration parameters. It also reports that the clock-time has been lost. Now, this defaulted-configuration POST is also expected to be used by the user to verify the BIOS configuration. This allows the battery removal act to be used to recover from Configuration-related problems.

[This is a non-BIOS Engineer's answer, so may be ~slightly~ inaccurate.]

If I may offer an additional input here, after a VROC RAID volume is created, the RAID metadata is stored directly on the drives. Hence, it will not be affected by CMOS battery replacement.
