Hi all,

I am trying to enable AMX in Intel Xeon W-2255 Processor. I did not find any useful tutorial or help online. Can anyone guide me step-by-step on how to enable AMX on Windows Platform? Also, it would be helpful if you could accompany your reply with screenshots if any BIOS settings are involved, as I was unable to find the particular setting in my PC's BIOS setup. Additionally, can you also guide me in finding resources on how to use AMX with examples online? How can I check if AMX is enabled in my system? Lastly, does my processor support AMX instruction set?

Thanking you in advance.

Awaiting your responses eagerly.

Hello PL2025,

Thank you for contact Intel community

The Intel Xeon W-2255 processor does not support the Advanced Matrix Extensions (AMX) instruction set. AMX is a feature introduced in newer generations of Intel Xeon processors, specifically designed to enhance AI and machine learning workloads. Since the Xeon W-2255 is part of an earlier generation, it does not include this capability.

If you need further assistance or have any other questions, please let us know.
