According to the processor specifications, it is supported. However, you may need to disable certain settings to ensure proper functionality. Since you have already checked the BIOS for virtualization-related commands, please disable Hyper-V Hypervisor, Device Guard, and Credential Guard. Kindly follow the instructions in this article. Once completed, let me know if it works or if you need further assistance.

I made your recommendations. However the virtualization setting remains unsupported.
I saw in processor instructions that the VMX parameter does not appear.
I think there is a problem with the processor Intel I7 11700K

Hi @astvt,
Can we try this for verification, you can use the Intel® Processor Identification Utility to verify if your system is capable of Intel® Virtualization Technology.
Using the tool, Select the CPU Technologies tab. See if the Intel® Virtualization Technology options are checked or not. If Intel® Virtualization Technology is not checked in the tool, there might be a possibility your processor still supports Intel® Virtualization Technology, but it is already being used by some software that uses a hypervisor. In that case, you can also use the Task Manager to verify the situation.
Does My Processor Support Intel® Virtualization Technology?
Overview of the Intel® Processor Identification Utility
In addition, to examine the issue, can you provide the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* log report and a screenshot of the BIOS settings under 'Advanced CPU Settings'? I want to verify if VT-x is set to enabled. After enabling virtualization, you can verify its status in Windows by checking the Task Manager under the Performance tab. Looking forward to your response.

Hi @astvt,
As per our tool, virtualization in the processor is supported under advanced technologies. To verify this, you can double-check in Task Manager under the Performance tab to see if it's enabled.
I need to clarify a few points:
- Where did you get the screenshot that says virtualization is not supported?
- When you mention VMX, are you referring to accessing or using a virtual machine?
- Are you encountering any error messages related to virtualization? If so, could you provide a screenshot?
I'm trying to isolate whether the issue is related to CPU or GPU utilization so that I can further investigate and provide more information. Looking forward to your response.

Hi Randy, In task manager, performance tab and select processor the parameters Virtualization is Active.
About the screenshot, this an little software SPECCY. you could found it on www.CCleaner.com this software supply some informations about the configuration of yours PC.
About VMX, in Speccy, under instructions supported by the processor, the parameter VMX is not displayed.
I used Speccy on an laptop ASUS X751L with Intel Core I3 4030U in instructions I have VMX.
Maybe Speccy have a problème with processor I7 ??
On the other hand, in Kaspersky Total Security protection in configuration parameters under advenced Protection by virtualization hardware, there is a message : the hrdware virtualisation is not available.

Hi @astvt,
Thank you for providing the detailed information and screenshots. I appreciate your patience as we work through this.
Let me check these findings on my end and verify the details. I will investigate the potential issue with Speccy and the processor, as well as the message from Kaspersky Total Security regarding hardware virtualization.
Once I have more information, I will report back to you with an update. If you have any further observations or questions in the meantime, please feel free to reach out.

Hi @astvt,
The Intel® Processor Identification Utility indicates the processor supports Virtualization as well as task manager, but third-party software is unable to detect it. It would be advisable to consult with the software developer to understand why their software cannot detect Virtualization.
In addition, you may try again to check BIOS, I recommend checking the Virtualization settings in your computer's BIOS.
Here’s how you can do it:
- Navigate to "Settings" > Miscellaneous > VT-d.
- If VT-d is set to "Disabled," change it to "Enabled."
- Save the settings and restart your computer.
- Check the software again to see if the issue is resolved.
If the problem persists, it would be best to consult with the software developer to understand why their application cannot detect Virtualization. Unfortunately, we cannot provide support or comment for third-party applications directly, but you can reach out to the developer using the links provided below.

For more information on Intel® Virtualization Technology, please refer to your motherboard manual. You can find relevant details on page 37. Here is the link to the manual: mb_manual_z590-ud-ac_e_1103.pdf
