Intel RS2BL040 RAID Card why does download centre show lower firmware as latest?

If you follow the link below for the downloads for the RS2BL040 you will be given the following versionsn....

12.12.0-0111 LATEST

12.13.0-0104 Previously Released

Surely V12.13 is newer than V12.12 ?

Yes it's kind of confusing, and I don't know why, but 12.12.0-0111 is newer, if you compare the date of the ROM file...

yes but is 12.12.0.0111 just a bug fix for an older version while 12.13.0.0104 may be a completely new version?

All,

The 12.13.0-0104 package was a parallel release to address some issues with the SSD cache option. Sorry for the confusion. That version was removed since it's no longer necessary. A new 12.12.0-0124 version has been posted that includes the fix and supports all the 2108 ROC controllers. It should be live in the next day or so.
