RS2BL040 Mirror Different Size Drives

I have a client with an Intel S5500WB system, featuring a RS2BL040 SAS controller. They normally mirror drives, and recently one of the 1TB SAS drives failed. The replacement drive is expremely scarce due to the flooding in Thailand. 2TB drives are more readily available.

Is it possible to use a 2TB drive as a mirror alongside the original 1TB drive?

Yes but only 1TB can be used.
