Want to upgrade workstation for CAD. Current SC5520 motherboard with dual Xeon 5520 quad cores. what is my best option to upgrade?

What options might I have to upgrade my workstation? Current configuration is Intel motherboard SC5520 with dual Xeon quad-cores, 5520, and 32g ECC RAM. Everything works great just need more processing power. Would like to optimize what I have if economically possible, before moving up to more expensive workstation.

I am glad you asked. You could still upgrade the processor in your system. You could use the following list as a reference.
