Compilation issue when using icpx compiler of OneApi 2023.1.0

Hello
I recently installed the OneAPI Base toolkit and I am trying to build my project using it, I keep on getting a error that says

/opt/binutils/2.35.1/bin/ld: ../Strategies/libvolstrategies.a: error adding symbols: archive has no index; run ranlib to add one
icpx: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)

I am already using ar with qcs flags, I tried so many options in google, using ranlib and all, but all of them still give the same error.
Can someone please help me with this?
Let me know if I have to provide any more information

Hi,

Thanks for posting in the Intel forums.

Could you please provide us with the sample reproducer code and steps to reproduce the issue at our end?

Could you also please provide us with the details of the OS, and output of lscpu command to investigate more?

Thanks & Regards

Shivani
