Hi Manoranjan,

Intel supports Visual studio/Visual studio code as an IDE for OneAPI Basekit by default.

But I am not aware of the steps to integrate Basekit into Eclipse. So I'm transferring this query to Subject Matter Experts.

Hi Manoranjan,

Thank you for raising this concern. I am discussing with the team regarding updates on integration of oneAPI Eclipse on Windows.

For the oneAPI product we only support Eclipse on Linux. The Eclipse plugins have not been validated for use on either Windows or macOS.

We recommend that you checkout using Visual Studio Code on Windows. We are currently providing a samples browser for VSCode and an Intel profiler launcher (for launching VTune and Advisor) that supports Windows, Linux and macOS. You can find those VSCode plugins in the VSCode marketplace > https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/search?term=oneapi&target=VSCode&category=All%20categories&sortBy=Relevance <

p.s. VSCode can be downloaded here > https://code.visualstudio.com/download <

Also I would like to know why do you want Eclipse on Windows specifically. Do you have a particular reason for that. If so can you elaborate on that?

Hi,

yes, the reason is I didn't have Visual Studio license and Eclipse is Free. So I was asking for it. It would be good to add eclipse IDE for Windows, as for people who wants to try the samples or experiment something  can play with it and not worrying much about buying Visual Studio license..

Hi Subarna ,

Thanks for your reply.

we are trying out some AI applications. I have uninstalled VS Code ... so don't remember the error details now. But as far as I remember, I tried executing couple of sample applications but was failing to compile in VS code.
