Following this guidance for Mac:

When I type Intel oneAPI: Initialize, 2 options pop up:

  • Initialize default environment variables
  • Initialize custom environment variables

Click on either of them, a window is popped up:

Failed to activate the "Environment Configurator for Intel oneAPI Toolkits" extension. The extension is only supported on Linux and Windows.

Xu, could you confirm that the installation of Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit for macOS* was successful and you are facing this issue during the configuration stage?

This means the extension Environment Configurator for Intel oneAPI Toolkits has been installed.

This is only I can confirm.

Hi,

Thanks for posting in Intel Communities.

>>when I Type Intel oneAPI: Initialize, 2 options pop up

Could you please elaborate on how you are getting these options and where you are running these options?

Could you please let us know what are the steps/link you are following and getting the errors?

And also, could you provide us with the screenshot of the error you are facing?

Thanks & Regards,

Varsha

MACOS 11.6.4

Visual Studio Code 1.68.0

The installing and building step link:

Build and Run a Sample Project Using Visual Studio Code (intel.com)

The little c step:

  • Click on
    Intel oneAPI: Initialize environment variables
    .

This means the Toolkit is installed successfully.

However, the error window then pops up:
