Docs for intel mpi 5.x/2016

Hi, I'm using Azure H16r nodes which use Intel MPI 5.x/2016 (provided on the relevant Azure images) for IB (presumably some semi-custom MPI stack or something).

However docs for this version don't seem to be available via the legacy documentation page. Are they available somehow, in a form which can be shared with users? The install only has the "getting started" htm page which isn't really any use for flags etc. and things have changed so much I know using later docs is a recipe for confusion!

Thanks

Steve

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

If possible, Could you please try the latest version of Intel MPI?

For the latest version of Intel mpi you need to download the intel base toolkit and Intel HPC toolkit.

Installation link:

For Base Toolkit:

For HPC Toolkit:

https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/tools/oneapi/hpc-toolkit/download.html

Installation guide link:

https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/articles/installation-guide-for-intel-oneapi-toolkits.html

For documentation of Intel MPI refer to the below link.

I'm not looking for support though, just for legacy documentation.

Hi,

Since Intel MPI 5.x is a legacy product, we no longer support it . There is no documentation that is available for the public that we can provide to you. As you are not looking for any support, could you please let us know whether we can close this thread?

Thanks & Regards

Shivani

Do feel free to close.

Please consider archiving documentation for legacy products in the future though, there are all kinds of reasons why that could be helpful.

many thanks

Steve

Hi,

>>>Please consider archiving documentation for legacy products in the future though, there are all kinds of reasons why that could be helpful.

If you have Intel MPI installed in your system, for the documentation of Intel MPI 5.x/2016, you can follow the below path.

/opt/intel/impi/5.0.0.028/doc/

In this doc folder, you will have Reference_Manual, User_guide, and MPI_Tuner_Tutorial files for reference.

>>>Do feel free to close.

Thanks for the confirmation.

If you need any additional information, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.

Have a Good day!

Thanks & Regards

Shivani
