ITAC error for multi-node tracing

Hi Intel community,

We are trying to trace Quantum Espresso on multiple nodes with the Intel Trace Collector. It works on a single node, but for two nodes I get the following error:

[0] Intel(R) Trace Collector WARNING: STF Encoding Error: reducing unsigned 4-byte 0x10068 to unsigned 2-byte (_build/build_release_posix-x86_64_icl_18_gnutools_4.8/stf/stfencode.c:1844)

When we run the Trace Analyzer on the resulting stf file, it just hangs. We have tried the same scripts on benchmark applications and it does work.

Do you know what this error means?

Thanks,

Erica

Hi, thank you! Just checking in if there are any suggestions. Should I be posting on another board?

Could you provide STF file for 2-node case?
