Parallel studio 2016 u3 Debian 8 support

According to part 4.3 of release notes for Parallel studio 2016 Update 3: "The operating systems listed below are supported by all components on Intel® 64 Architecture." But if I try to install this on Debian 8, I get:

Intel(R) Trace Analyzer and Collector 9.1 Update 2 for Linux* OS: Unsupported OS
Intel(R) Cluster Checker 3.1 Update 2 for Linux* OS: Unsupported OS

Why is that, are the release notes incorrect?

Hi, Leos

I have moved this thread to Intel Cluster forum, since this relates to Intel Cluster tools system requirements.

Thanks.

Interesting.  What do you get from the following commands?

cat /etc/issue
uname -a

I get:

Debian GNU/Linux 8 \n \l

Linux debian 3.16.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.36-1+deb8u1 (2016-09-03) x86_64 GNU/Linux

Does this still happen with any of the newer releases?  All of these also support Debian 8.

I have just tried with Parallel Studio 2017 Cluster edition u2 and I get the same problem, the same two components reporting unsupported os.
