Hi, INTEL technician,

When environmental variable  KMP_AFFINITY=logic, the following warning is given:

D:\users\dingjun\tests>set KMP_AFFINITY=verbose,logic

D:\users\dingjun\tests>set OMP_SCHEDULE=static,1

D:\users\dingjun\tests>cd D:\users\dingjun\tests

Such warnings only occurred on the 4-sockets 32-cores Sandy Bridge computer. On 2-sockets 32-cores Broadwell computer, when KMP_AFFINITY = logic, there is no such a warning and it shows 'logic' value works for KMP_AFFINITY on Broadwell computers.

Could you tell me why this occurred?

Thanks,

Best regards,

Dingjun

The correct spelling of this option is "logical", not "logic".   The option has been deprecated for a while now -- both Intel 16 and Intel 17 compilers list it as deprecated and recommend using "compact" with no permute value as a replacement.
