I am trying to install OneAPI Base Toolkit 2021.3 on an offline computer with VS2019 and Windows Server 2019, but the installer cannot detect Visual Studio. I checked other related posts on this forum, but neither provides a working solution.
I was able to successfully install this toolkit on another computer with the same VS version. The only difference is that this machine is connected to the internet, VS is installed on C:\ drive, and the operating system is Windows 10.
Any suggestion on how to resolve this issue? You can find all the information that you need in the below screenshots.
Thanks for posting your concern on the forum. Please let us know the below details.
- A copy of the 'About' (by using the 'Copy Info' option) from the Help section, of the Visual Studio.
- Is the directory location of Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit also within the D drive? Please provide the path.
- The screenshots of all the stages from the installation process of the Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit.
The above information would provide us a better understanding of the concern.
Thanks for getting back to me. Please find the requested information below.

2. If you are asking about the location of the OneAPI installer, I run it from D:\ drive and extract the files to D:\intel_temp\w_BaseKit_p_2021.3.0.3221_offline. I have tried installing in both C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel and D:\Program Files (x86)\Intel.

I really appreciate it if you can provide a workaround.
Thanks for providing the information. We are checking on it with our internal team. Please wait for 2-3 business days. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
Please do the following - download the latest 2021.4 oneAPI package that was just released today. Then:
1. Repair Visual Studio
2. Run the oneAPI 2021.4 Installer
Let me know if this helps.
I can only suggest to completely reinstall VS and then run the oneAPI installer.
In some cases the VS Repair is sufficient, in other cases one needs to run the VS installer again to make sure that it is registered correctly in the system.
