Inotice the TBBpackage has been open sourced,

http://www.intel.com/pressroom/archive/releases/20070724fact.htm?iid=pr1_releasepri_20070724fact

I'm not familiar with the legal aspects of different open sourcing models so I just ask straight; In a commersial application can I use the open source version of TBB or do I have to buy and use the commersial TBB version from Intel?

I can't give you a legal opinion. All I can do is point you at the license and more particularly at the run-time exceptionand let you figure it out yourself.

Well, theruntime exception seems to allow for the use of the open sourced TBB in a proprietary program.I just wanted to know.It would be no bigdeal to buy it, if nothing else so for the support.
