I am a professional photographer, and I use photoshop cs4 and lightroom 2.3 together on a daily basis. I have noticed with my current system that it will take sometimes 10-15 seconds per picture to render the image in lightroom, and it's time for an upgrade so this is my excuse for purchasing/building a new system
I am not up to date on the new processor technologies out there, so I am curious as to which processor you all would suggest.
I am looking at the following combo:

which includes Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80569Q9550 processor.
I have also looked at the Core 2 Extreme and also the i7 line. I'm lost..
I want to build a system that will last me a few years, so any suggestions towards the type of work I will be doing is GREATLY appreciated.
