Hi Everyone,
I'm working on troubleshooting CIRA Not connected issue on a Dell 3930 workstation and try to re- establish the connection remotely.
Steps I have taken and relevant challenges are
1- Try to unprovision the endpoint using powershell script provided by Intel but that is failing as it is shown in attached image 1.
2- Tried unconfigure endpoint using EMAconfigtool but I have no luck with that either. the error message shown is INVALID_AMT_MODE but I'm certain that the MEBx password is correct and the control mode is admin. Attached image 2 is screenshot of the console.
3- Last and the most important step is that I tried remotely adopt the workstation back onto the current and only EMA perhaps to initiate CIRA connection but that is also failing due to the powershell script not functioning as expected. can anyone with scripting expertise help with this issue? as you can see from the script attached, in line 181 invoke-webrequest output is pipelined onto write-RESTResponsVerbose function which in its turn generate custom object by converting result from invoke-webrequest to JSON, BUT, eventough its in HTML format and therefore throwing "ConvertFrom-Json : Invalid JSON primitive:" error. I have attached the powershell script that I have been using. can you please help making sense of it?
Thanks in advance.

Hello KardoS,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.
In regards to the issues with the script please bear in mind that from our end we only provide the resources which in this case are the scripts themselves, if you need to modify a script that is out of our scope, and in case you have a PowerShell related issue when running the scripts you will need to contact Microsoft support directly.
Additionally, you first mentioned that you were doing all of this because you have a CIRA connection issue with these endpoints, have you tried the steps below to see if the issue gets resolved?
How to Troubleshoot a Client Initiated Remote Access (CIRA) Connection in an Intel® Endpoint Management Assistant (Intel® EMA) Environment

Hi Victor,
Thank you so much for the reply. I wasn't attempting to amend the script really, it only tried to troubleshoot it as much as I can and that's how far I got and thought you may have an updated version of the script that addresses issues with the copy I attached.
I tried the steps from the article you provided but the issue I had is slightly different as the CIRA connection was fine but didn't restablish after endpoint reprovisioned.
I'm trying to use EMA configuration tool to restore factory setting but keeps throwing Invalive_AMT_mode error. Any ideas?
Thanks

Hello KardoS,
As far as I can tell the ECT is falling with the unprovisioning because it was configured with MEBx. You'll have to enter MEBx and do a full unprovisioning to make it work. Please let me know if there are any questions about this.
