Hello,

I've a fresh install of Intel EMA 1.7.0.0 on Windows Server 2019 and  SQL Server 2019 installed from scratch last April 2022.

Today, I've tried the upgrade to 1.7.1.0 but the process finish with some errors.

I've tried both installation from GUI and from Command Line.

By CLI I've a detailed information about the error:

............

.............

System.NullReferenceException: Riferimento a un oggetto non impostato su un'istanza di oggetto.

Recovery cert cannot be bound to the target recovery port. The error:
Aggiunta certificato SSL non riuscita. Errore: 183
Impossibile creare un file, se il file esiste già.

I also attach a screenshot with the error.

After the installation, the EMA URL is reachable and in the footer I can see 1.7.1.0 version.

I am able to login but every client is in state NOT CONNECTED.

I think this is related by the error I showed you.

Thanks a lot.

Stefano

Hello smolisso,

Thank you for joining the Intel community.

Take into consideration that currently, Intel EMA does not provide internationalization support. The operating system needs to have English-US Windows display language, English-US system locale, and English-US format (match Windows display language).

Which Languages Are Supported by Intel® Endpoint Management...

Hopes this helps

Hello Jose,

I have installed and set as default language, English (US) on the Server and this time the installation process has WORKED!

So, many thanks for the suggestion!

I have only few questions about this new release.

1. In the Release Notes document (https://downloadmirror.intel.com/646990/Intel_EMA_Release_Notes.pdf) is specified this:

User Interface/User Experience improvements
- Endpoints page automatically loads all endpoints if less than 1000 endpoints

I  always see 12 endpoints for every page (I have about 140 clients in my installation).

I attach the screenshot to show you the problem.

There is something I have to change to have all the endpoints inside a page?

2. In the Swarm Server settings page (after I am logged in as Global Administrator), I have flagged the Agent Auto-Update:

In this way, should my clients update the agent automatically?
At this moment I still see:
There is something that I have to do or the process is fully automated?

Thanks

Stefano

Hello smolisso,

Good to hear about the original issue got resolved. About your 2nd question, it seems to be showing up to 12 endpoints per page, giving a total of 144. So you are saying that it shows the "same" 12 endpoints on no matter what page you display?

About the auto update process, it is automatic but not immediate, it usually takes some time. Even up to a remote system reboot to show up updated.

Hopes this helps

Hello Jose,

So you are saying that it shows the "same" 12 endpoints on no matter what page you display?

No, I didn't say this. The system show me correctly all the clients and if I change the pages it shows me correctly other clients than the previous page.

I'm says that in the release notes there is written that if I have less than 1000 clients, they sould not be paginated, but I should have everyone in a single page (not paginated in 12 pages):

User Interface/User Experience improvements
- Endpoints page automatically loads all endpoints if less than 1000 endpoints

So I'm simply asking, why my clients are still paginated?

At the top of the page, I have this phrase: Use the Search box for specific endpoint or browse using "Load all Endpoints".

But I can't find where is the option "Load all the Endpoints"

Thanks a lot

Hello smolisso,

Now I understand what you mean. To be honest, never dealt with that many endpoints in our lab environment. About the "load all endpoints" option, have you look at the Tenant user settings?
