Not able to create agent installer after upgrading to 1.9.0

Hello,

After updating Intel EMA to version 1.9.0 from 1.8.1, the application doesn't update agents automatically and also doesn't allow me to create them manually from endpoint groups. But instead I can create the configuration files. Anyone know what might be happening?

Hello Edus,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

In order to help you with this situation can you please provide the following:

  1. Estimated deployment size.
  2. Estimated number of affected systems.
  3. Do you have a single server installation or a swarm server installation?
  4. Is your deployment on-premise or cloud?
  5. Please provide us with the exact path you followed to complete the update up to the point where you found out you were experiencing this issue.
  6. To investigate the issue further we will require the following logs:
  • EMA logs from Server:

[System drive]\Program File(x86)\Intel\Platform Manager\EmaLogs

  • EMA log from one of the affected endpoints:

[System drive]\Program Files\Intel\EMA Agent\EMAagentlog

Hello Victor,

Sorry I haven't answered you before.

The problem has been solved, a colleague of yours from Intel provided us with a script that modified certain fields in the database related to the agent version.

When updating from 1.8.1 to 1.9 they did not change and that is where the problem came from.

But as I told you, it has already been solved. We can create new agents and have them updated on the endpoints automatically.

Thanks!
