When I boot up computer and hit the Ctrl+P I get to Inte AMT pro section the machine is asking me for a password? Do I get that password from Intel or from Dell ? I'm not sure how to procede with this step going forward or is there somethin on the bios I have to turn-off or reset the password...

The default password is "admin" afther enter the password you'll need to type a new password.

I have, it doesn't let me do anything though except type in more passwords

basicaly I press ctrl+P then it goes into the vPro screen, once i've typed in admin it asks me to type in a new password.

once i type in that password it asks me to varify it. then after that I try and go into another area but it doesn't allow me, it

just asks again for my password

Whoops posted in the wrong section v.v sorry... please disregard

Are you using a strong password?

check out Gael's post - http://softwareblogs.intel.com/2007/11/08/strong-amt-me-passwords-and-other-shades-of-gray/

I assume it's not really changing the password, therefore not allowing you to go into the MEBx settings.

I've got somewhat of the same problem...

I can "log into" vPro but when it asks for a password everyone I give it is rejected

for example the last two passwords i tried to change to were

1;dB and 123:bbBB

I followed this 'tutorial'
