Hi,
I'm just evaluating AMT and can't see anywhere to set VLAN tagging within the MEBx - from a little bit of research this was pulled after version 6.0? Currently got version 12.0.40.1433 running on my test machine. Can you confirm this is the case? and if so, why?
Many Thanks
Josh

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Intel AMT Community Support.
Please check the following links about the VLAN information using Intel AMT.
Let me know if the information provided helps you to have a better understanding of those details.
https://software.intel.com/sites/manageability/AMT_Implementation_and_Reference_Guide/default.htm?turl=WordDocuments%2Fgetvlanparameters.htm
https://software.intel.com/sites/manageability/AMT_Implementation_and_Reference_Guide/default.htm?turl=HTMLDocuments%2FWS-Management_Class_Reference%2FAMT_EthernetPortSettings.htm
From the second link, I extract the following information:
VLANTag
public uint16 VLANTag
General Information:
Indicates whether VLAN is in use and what is the VLAN tag when used.
Product Specific Usage:
Only this property will be visible to General-Info users.
This property is not supported in Release 4.x, Release 6.0, and later releases.
Qualifiers:
-------------
ValueMap={1..}

Hi,
Reading the 'Product Specific Usage' - This property is not supported in Release 4.x, Release 6.0, and later releases. - hence it seems VLAN support has been pulled? Any ideas why?
Thanks

Hello,
Thank you for the response.
Sure, I will verify the information about why the VLAN Tagging is not supported nowadays.
Could you please so kind and provide me more details about the configuration you would like to achieve?
Best regards,

Hi,
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, our ideal scenario would be that the AMT could be tagged to a management VLAN - that is only accessible to IT administrators.
We would set the switch port so that it's in hybrid mode, so that we have access to a tagged and untagged network.
Tagged VLAN - "AMT Management VLAN"
Untagged VLAN - "Clients native VLAN"
This helps control the surface area of the AMT clients to that of only administrators - ideally we don't want to be running the AMT services within the same subnet / network as the client traffic.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Kind Regards
Josh

Hello,
Thank you so much for the time you have been waiting for my response.
Unfortunately, I was verifying the information with an upper-level department and we have no advice to provide you with this. In the second link provided the VLANTagging is no longer supported within AMT.

Emeth O.
