Wherem why and how

I'm just getting my feet wet with vPro, specifically AMT. The first problem I ran into is that it's hard to find the intel software to set up a provisioning server (still need it). The next issue I ran into is that it appears that vPro/AMT is only included on the core-2 CPUs but I have a lot of workstation with Xeon such as E5540 etc. Is there no vPro/AMT or equivalent for these CPUs?
