amt console crashes at startup?

amt console crashes at startup?

I'm trying to install and launch the amt console program (from the 5.0.2.4 package). However, every machine I try it on it crashes on startup (tried on vista x64, server 2k3 x86, xp x86).

Is there any known problem with the amtconsole.exe and .NET 2.0 SP2 (that is what gets installed these days when you install .net 3.5 through windows update).
