Hi Everyone, Experts, thinkers...

Hope you dont mind if I may ask how to restart the hello message algorithm if it expires after 24 hours without rebooting the terminal or diconnecting its power source? like is there a function that will restart the hello message algorithm? I humbly look forward to any response... (the AMT version I was running on is below 4.0, I havent touched on 4.0 implementation..)

Thanks -Sel

Look for a tool called Activator on this site. It has several parameters to restart hello packets and reopen the AMT network interface that gets closed after 24 hours.

Hi Sir Mohan, I'm glad to have read your reply and I have looked on the tool/userguide. I would like to ask Sir Expert for I have no idea how to set-up the activator utility having a AMT ver. 2.2.1? I am very new to AMT and I was confused how to run the tool(what path will it be pasted if it will be runned automatically...) any getting started for a non-technical person view...

Thanks -Sel

See this thread. /message/68926# 68926 http://communities.intel.com/message/68926# 68926

It depends what ISV you are using. You can run activator from client system from command prompt. Activator /h https:fqdnofserver

you may not have secure connection. What are you trying to do. Easiest thing for you might be going into local MEBX and unprovisiong system. This will reopen the port.

Good day again Sir Mohan, I would like to ask where can I get the FQDN of Server? is it the Server computer name? or the highest hierarchy in the DHCP which I found the ".com" ?

you run Activator command on the client. FQDN refers to the server on which either Intel SCS or some other provisioning server installed. The provision server can be installed using secure connection or regular http connection so you may need to use either http or https if you are using secure connection to your provision server. The easiest thing to do for you to go locally into MEBX by invoking Cntl+P when the client is booting and do full unprovision of AMT. This will reopen network interface that has been closed after 24 hours. This does not require that you have SCS server at all. Again I do not understand what you are trying to do so if you just want to open manually through MEBX is easiest.
