vPro activation on HP8530p (celeron2 inside)

Hi All,

 

I have some questions regarding Vpro activation.

If I want to activate vPro on my HP8530p (no vpro) what I need to do on the BIOS? ME Version is 3.0.1

 

In the BIOS are some configuration "Virtualization Technology". Are those important for the vPro function?

Hi Antonio, to answer your second question, virtulization technology does NOT need to be activated, i recommend you go to the HP web site and get the latest BIOS (for vPro) and AMT FW - it is up to ver 3.2. You should also search here on vPro Expert and locate Activator.exe - this is a small applet that you can run on the platform that will kick off activaton once you have your ISV applicaotn setup, What are you going to use? There are plenty of bring up guides for various management consoles listed in vProExpert. let us know if you need any more info, Good luck
