Hi seems Anandtech review site isn't able to use DXVA to decode 4K h.264 video on IvyBridge system using media player classic home cinema.. as check point does DXVA intel drivers support this? and using Media SDK it's HW accelerated?

Hi,

Not sure what happened with Anandtech, perhaps a MPC limitation? Need more information to make an assessment.

The IvyBridge driver does support 4K for AVC, and 4Kx2K for MVC. The support is reflected in the MediaSDK 2012 R2 release, with a current 15.26 IVY bridge driver. Support for additional decoders and encoders is currently being discussed.

Thanks

Using another player but with the same SW components (ffdshow and LAV video decoder) I decoded 4K video without a single problem or any change of setup (other than setting enabling the QuickSync decoder in both filters).
I also used the same driver version (2712).
