Is the Quick Sync Video technology being phased out? I am asking that because the most powerful new processors do not have Quick Sync Video capabilities. See http://ark.intel.com/products/82930/Intel-Core-i7-5960X-Processor-Extreme-Edition-20M-Cache-up-to-3_50-GHz for an example: it has no integrated graphics and thus no Quick Sync Video capability.
Are we wasting our development time adding support for a dying technology?

Hi there,
The system you have mentioned is one of the extreme edition which traditionally doesn't have Intel Integrated graphics card and hence no quick sync support can be found on ark.intel.com for these systems. These processor are available for the customers to use 3rd party graphics card.
This doesn't mean the quick sync video technology is fading out.
Hope that answers your query.
