Hardware acceleration when called from 32-bit DLL?

If my 32-bit DLL uses the Media SDK to encode to H.264 on a 64-bit machine, will the SDK use hardware acceleration, or will it limit itself to software encoding only?

To clarify: I mean a 64-bit machine with Sandy Bridge (second generation i3, i5 or i7)

Media SDK will use hardware acceleration. The 64-bit graphics driver installs both 64 and 32-bit Media SDK hardware dll's.
